New GOTAFE appointment boosts student attraction and engagement

GOTAFE has appointed Shepparton local, Angela McLeod as Executive Director, Attraction and Engagement.

Most recently Angela has held the role of Customer Experience Projects Coordinator at Goulburn Valley Water, and prior to this she led the Department of Rural Health at the University of Melbourne developing strategic priorities and engaging with key stakeholders including government, health services, research institutes, and professional bodies.

Angela also previously held the role of Goulburn Murray Water Training Manager and CEO of the Enterprise RTO, where she led the design and delivery of education and training programs, implemented career pathways, supported talent and success activities, and delivered engagement and cultural initiatives.

This is Angela’s second stint at GOTAFE. She previously held the role of Education Development Manager, leading initiatives in education and training resource development, e-learning, the Training and Assessment Centre, Skills Recognition Centre, and transitioned GOTAFE quality systems from State to National regulating authorities.

Angela is the Chair and committee member of the Greater Shepparton Women’s Advisory Committee, board member of the Goulburn Murray Group Training, member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and member of Australian Institute of Training & Development.

Angela said, “I am thrilled to accept this position and re-join GOTAFE in this exciting and challenging role”.

Angela’s appointment will lead GOTAFE's student attraction and retention strategies, overseeing outreach programs and services, including the GOTAFE Mobile Campus, and ensuring current GOTAFE students are equipped with all the tools they need to successfully complete their training.
