There are a lot of things you need to remember as a student, but memorising key dates isn't one of them! Refer to the list below for all the important dates in the calendar year, including semester dates, mid-term breaks, release of results and more.

Please note courses can have various start and end dates, but the general term dates are as follows.
Term 1: Monday 5 Feb - Thursday 28 March
Term 2: Monday 15 April - Friday 28 June
Term 3: Monday 15 July - Friday 20 September
Term 4: Monday 7 October - Friday 13 December
Victorian school holidays
Term 1 holidays: Friday 28 March to Sunday 14 April
Term 2 holidays: Saturday 29 June – Sunday 14 July
Term 3 holidays: Saturday 21 September – Sunday 6 October
Term 4 holidays: Saturday 21 December – Monday 29 January 2025
Public holidays
GOTAFE campuses will be closed for the following public holidays in 2024:
Monday 11 March – Labour Day
Friday 29 March – Good Friday
Monday 1 April – Easter Monday
Monday 25 April - Anzac Day
Monday 10 June – King's Birthday
Friday 27 September* - AFL Grand Final Holiday
