Local Industry and Business Support
Skills and Jobs Centres provide free, impartial support to help regional businesses plan and develop their workforce. They are state government-funded services based at TAFE institutes and are open to all Victorians and Victorian employers (regardless of visa status).
Our services focus on practical solutions that connect employers with training and employment pathways.
Services include:
- Workforce Planning: Identifying current and future skills needs and creating training pathways.
- Upskilling Advice: Providing guidance on training options, funding programs, and government incentives.
- Recruitment Support: Promoting job opportunities through the GOTAFE Jobs Board and connecting with job seekers.
- Labour Market Information: Offering access to regional employment trends and skills demand data.
- Youth Workforce Engagement: Developing strategies to attract and retain young people entering the workforce.
- Restructure Support: Assisting businesses and employees impacted by redundancy or organisational change.
- Apprenticeships and Traineeships: Advising on employing and supporting apprentices or trainees.
