Youth Pathway Courses
The journey to reaching your career goals can be challenging and overwhelming at times. You might feel like you are being pulled in several directions at once or like you have no direction at all.
GOTAFE offer a range of courses targeted at students aged between 15-19 years to help you realise your potential and set you on the path to success. Best of all, you don’t need an ATAR to kick-start your training at TAFE.
Looking for an alternative to VCE?
VCAL is a hands-on, practical alternative qualification to VCE (Year 11 and 12). As a VCAL student, you'll take courses in the industries and subjects that interest you, while strengthening your literacy and numeracy skills to help you succeed in the workforce.
In high school but want to kickstart your career?
If you are a high school student looking to get a head start in your future career, the VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) program is for you. VETDSS allows high school students to study a nationally recognised TAFE qualification as part of their secondary schooling.
Can't wait to join the workforce?
If you can't wait to get into the workforce, then a School Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship may be right for you.
Or, if you aren't ready to have an employer, a Pre-Apprenticeship might be the right option for you.
What a lot of people don’t realise is that you can achieve your dream career without an ATAR, and many TAFE courses can act as a stepping stone towards a university degree.
Starting your post-school studies at GOTAFE can make the transition a little less daunting, and you get to work, learn and live locally whilst you start the process of engaging with Higher Education.
GOTAFE is both proud and fortunate to have partnerships with Charles Sturt University and La Trobe University to provide established pathways from a GOTAFE qualification to a University Degree.See how GOTAFE can be part of your journey to University
