The VPC & VCE Vocational Major are hands-on, practical alternatives to School-based VCE (Year 11 & 12). These courses will connect you to industry experiences and active participation in the community.

Want to kickstart your career?

If you're looking to get a head start in your future career, the VET Delivered to School Students (VDSS) program is for you. Study a nationally recognised qualification as part of your secondary schooling.

Can't wait to join the workforce?

If you can't wait to get into the workforce, then a school based-apprenticeship or traineeship may be right for you. Or, if you aren't ready to have an employer, consider a re-apprenticeship.

Pathways to university

What a lot of people don’t realise is that you can achieve your dream career without an ATAR, and many TAFE courses can act as a stepping stone towards a university degree.

Starting your post-school studies at GOTAFE can make the transition a little less daunting, and you get to work, learn and live locally whilst you start the process of engaging with Higher Education.

GOTAFE is both proud and fortunate to have partnerships with Charles Sturt University and La Trobe University to provide established pathways from a GOTAFE qualification to a University Degree.

Our Youth Engagement Team include experienced pathways advisors who work closely with young people both in and out of education to provide information and assistance with vocational planning, career mentoring, transition guidance and post-secondary school options.

Our team can provide recommendations on what study or training options you can consider to reach your individual career goals.
