Does this sound like you...?
If high school and VCE aren’t your thing, then do something you love! We have a range of courses targeted at students aged between 15-19 years to help you realise your potential and set you on the path to success. Best of all, you don’t need an ATAR to kick-start your career.
Looking for an alternative to VCE?
VCAL is a hands-on, practical alternative to VCE (Year 11 and 12). You'll take courses in the industries and subjects that interest you.
Want to kickstart your career?
If you're looking to get a head start in your future career, the VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) program is for you. Study a nationally recognised qualification as part of your secondary schooling.
What a lot of people don’t realise is that you can achieve your dream career without an ATAR, and many TAFE courses can act as a stepping stone towards a university degree.
Starting your post-school studies at GOTAFE can make the transition a little less daunting, and you get to work, learn and live locally whilst you start the process of engaging with Higher Education.
GOTAFE is both proud and fortunate to have partnerships with Charles Sturt University and La Trobe University to provide established pathways from a GOTAFE qualification to a University Degree.See how GOTAFE can be part of your journey to university
Our Youth Engagement Team are here to help!
Who are we?
Our Youth Engagement Team are experienced pathways advisors who work closely with young people both in and out of education to provide information and assistance with vocational planning, career mentoring, transition guidance and post-secondary school options.
Our team can provide recommendations on what study or training options you can consider to reach your individual career goals.
We have it all on a one pager flyer if you would like to download it.
In keeping with the ever-changing situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Youth Engagement Team are adapting our approach to our current services. We may have hit pause on drop-in appointments at GOTAFE and visits to our local schools, but that doesn't mean we can't catch up ‘face-to-face’. At this time, we available via Zoom, email and phone.
