Building foundational skills

The Learning Support Unit is a free and confidential service designed to help you build the foundation skills you need to be successful at TAFE. We offer one-on-one support, group support, and classroom-based support, and also have a drop-in centre, so you can get the academic help you need, whenever you need it.

You can get a referral to the LSU from your Course Coordinator, or contact your campus' Learning Support Coordinator.

We can help you up-skill in the following areas:

Gain the edge in your studies

Gain the skills you need to succeed in your studies through the Gaining the Edge program. Participating in the program, you will learn essential language, digital, and interpersonal skills to ace your studies and step into the workplace with confidence. This flexible and free program runs alongside your course at GOTAFE as an optional add-on.
