Student Spotlight - Logan Hall
Second-year apprentice and Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32220) student Logan Hall is thriving in his trade.
Second-year apprentice and Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32220) student Logan Hall recently participated in the WorldSkills competition at GOTAFE’s Docker Street campus in Wangaratta, which he found to be a rewarding experience.
“WorldSkills was really worthwhile,” he said.
“It pushed me to try new skills and create something from scratch.
“If any other students get the chance to give it a go, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.”
Now building his skills at GOTAFE, Logan’s passion for refrigeration and air conditioning began with work experience.
“I was lucky enough to do some work experience while I was at school, and I really enjoyed it, so I stuck with it,” he said.
Logan is currently completing his apprenticeship with DB Refrigeration & Air Conditioning in Yarrawonga.
A lover of learning, Logan enjoys the daily variety.
“The best part of this trade is the different places we go and the work we do,” he said.
“You never know what each day will bring, but I know I’ll always be learning something new.
Logan credits GOTAFE with helping him build the skills needed for work.
“At GOTAFE, I often encounter technical problems I haven’t seen before,” he said.
“It really prepares me to go back and show colleagues what I’ve learned.”
