Some 18 students from Shepparton ACE Secondary College, Greater Shepparton Secondary College, Euroa Secondary School and Notre Dame College have completed GOTAFE’s Find Your Passion in Agriculture or Horticulture (SCFYPASN24) course this week.

The program has been curated in partnership with Goulburn Murray Local Learning Employment Network (GMLLEN), allowing participants to immerse themselves in dynamic activities centered around the agriculture and horticulture sectors.

Project Manager Future of Agriculture Martina Rienzner said the program is part of GOTAFE’s Future of Agriculture project.

“The program provides a taster to students interested in agriculture or horticulture industries,” she said.

“We know the agriculture and horticulture industries are vital to the future of our region and it is vital that GOTAFE and our partners provide the training needed to support our future workforce.

“The Find Your Passion course allows students to try their hand at typical activities and connect with industry professionals and TAFE instructors.

“Collaborating with their peers, students explore skills, study options, and career pathways in this vital local sector.”
