New GOTAFE appointment strengthens education strategy and delivery
GOTAFE has appointed Kristie O’Brien as Executive Director, Education after a competitive recruiting process.
Ms O’Brien has extensive experience in the TAFE sector, previously employed with TAFE NSW for 19 years in a variety of roles.
Most recently Kristie has fulfilled the role of Special Program Director, overseeing several education-focused projects including the establishment of an EduTech function within TAFE NSW.
Prior to this, Kristie has undertaken roles including the Chief Quality and Product Officer, leading TAFE NSW through their COVID-19 response, Head of Education Planning and Service Delivery, and Head of Education and Training Strategy.
“I’m excited to be joining GOTAFE in this important and rewarding role,” Ms O’Brien said.

Kristie’s appointment will lead education strategy and delivery to ensure GOTAFE graduates have the knowledge and skills to succeed in the modern workforce and meet the demands of the industry.
