Kaelene Holmes completed her studies with GOTAFE and has since gone on to live out her dream of supporting people to achieve their goals.

What course did you complete with GOTAFE?

I studied a Certificate IV in Disability (CHC43115)

What is the biggest challenge in your role?

Working on mental health and challenging behaviours – but there are all different [challenges] every day.

What is your favourite part of your role?

I love helping people do things they wouldn't be able to do on their own and supporting them in achieving what they want.

My second eldest daughter is also working in disability, and my eldest daughter has just started a position as a teacher's aide.

My youngest daughter is also looking at going into disability, and one of my daughters and my son have mild disabilities as well.
