GOTAFE is proud to share our 2023 Gender Equality Progress Report and Audit, which demonstrates compliance with the Gender Equality Act 2020 (Vic) and highlights the meaningful progress we’ve made.
Our performance reflects advancements across five of the seven Workplace Gender Equality Indicators, showing our commitment to continuous improvement.
Key achievements include:
- Improved gender balance across multiple areas of GOTAFE, including leadership and workforce representation.
- Inclusive recruitment practices designed to be fairer and more equitable for people of all genders.
- Increased uptake of parental and carers leave – especially by men, ensuring greater support for staff of all genders.
- Completion of Gender Impact Assessments for initiatives such as the Feedback, Complaints, and Appeals Management Policy and the Archer Street Stage 2 Building Design, ensuring policies and spaces meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- Enhanced flexible working practices through updated policies that embed flexibility and hybrid working into our workplace culture.
- Strengthened support measures for staff experiencing family violence, including new policies and resources.
These achievements reflect the hard work of our team and our commitment to embedding gender equality into our everyday operations.
