GOTAFE Information Technology and Cyber Security students are providing community members with free access to technology support through the GOHelp initiative.

GOHelp is a technology support and tutoring service primarily being delivered from GOTAFE’s Fryers Street, Shepparton campus.

While it is benefitting community members, GOHelp is also giving students an opportunity to implement their learnings and communicate with clients.

Certificate III in Information and Technology (ICT30120) student Alistair Wall has enjoyed being part of the student-led initiative.

“GOHelp aids in your learning by supporting time management, client management through ticketing systems, enhancing computer knowledge, and improving communication skills,” Alistair said.

"These experiences prepare you for the real world by teaching you how to efficiently handle tasks, interact with clients, troubleshoot technical issues, and effectively communicate in professional settings."

Alistair discovered the service during a tour of GOTAFE’s Fryers Street, Shepparton campus.

“It was a fantastic initiative led by one of the Certificate III in Information Technology (ICT30120) students and I wanted to be a part of it,” Alistair said.

To access these free services, please head to GOTAFE’s Fryers Street, Shepparton campus.

Applications are currently open for a mid-year intake into the Certificate III in Information and Technology (ICT30120), which is a perfect course for students to get their start in this rewarding industry.
