Information to guide you through logging in to your GOTAFE Student account

Home >Current Students >Student Account Access

When you first enrol with GOTAFE, you will be provided with a GOTAFE Student number and email address. Below guides you through what these will look like and support for how best to use your account and how to seek help.

What your access details look like:
  • Your network ID to access computers on campus is your GOTAFE student number.
  • Your email address (without the brackets) will be <your_student_number>
  • Your initial password is made up of:
    • Your full surname (no hyphens, spaces or apostrophes)
    • The month of your birthdate (3 characters – eg Jan, Feb, Mar…etc)
    • The year of your birthdate (4 digits – eg 2003)

For example:

  • If your Surname is Dunn-O’Riley, and Birthday is 06/10/2001
  • then your Initial Password will be DunnorileyOct2001
  • The first time you log in, you will be required to change this password.
