Immerse yourself in the smells and sounds of commercial baking in our world class facilities. Test your creativity and eye for artistry in our pilot plant. Whether you’re an apprentice or a budding creative cook, we have a course to suit your goals.

Careers in Baking can take you anywhere. Work in a growing local business, in a restaurant, overseas, or even run your own business.

Apprentices are our speciality. We have solid local relationships with well known businesses including Tip Top, Beechworth Bakery, and local franchise Bakers Delight. We work with your employer to make sure you learn the skills needed to make a difference in their business. We even teach you things current employers might not have the facilities to teach you, so you can take initiative and impress your boss.

You can even enter competitions throughout the year to show off your skills. The Easter in the Food Bowl Baking Convention and the national BAKESKILLS competition are highlights.

This Qualification covers the retail baking specialisation within the food processing industry.

The Certificate II in Retail Baking Assistance targets those working within a retail baking environments undertaking non-trade related work or working as a trade assistant. This Qualification is designed for application in supervised environments where the work is primarily predictable with some basic problem solving requirements. Typically this role would include some predetermined, routine baking functions with customer service and general preparation and cleaning skills.

Units selected from other Training Packages must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the Qualification level.
