Upcoming 2019 Dookie Wine Show

The annual Dookie Wine Show Masterclass will be held on Tuesday 17 September, 2019. Proudly hosted by GOTAFE Hospitality students and staff, the inspiration for this year’s event theme is the Red Dirt of Dookie.

Students who are studying Hospitality, Tourism, Events and Cookery, along with their trainers, will transform the venue on the night and the menu has been designed to pay tribute to the red dirt from Dookie.

Students from other study streams have also been involved with the GOTAFE electrical department and apprentices looking after the event lighting, and the Design department’s students also providing their services in the lead up to the event.

GOTAFE CEO Travis Heeney says, “Events such as the Dookie Wine Show Masterclass give our Hospitality students real life experience in planning, running and catering for this iconic event. It is a great chance for the community to see our students in action and it provides our students the opportunity to showcase the skills they have learnt at GOTAFE.”

The event pays tribute to Dookie and surrounds with each course named after a property or location in the Dookie region. Each course is paired with the award winning wines from the Dookie Wine Show.
