Theodore Voulinos was motivated to pursue plumbing by family and friends, especially his uncle, a farmer in Bright.

After helping on the farm, and through this hands-on experience, he found himself drawn to the trade.

Over time, his interest grew, leading him to enrol in a Certificate III in Plumbing (CPC32420).

One of the aspects Theodore enjoys most about plumbing is the variety it offers.

“You always get something different every day,” he said.

“There’s a wide range of opportunities.”

At GOTAFE, Theodore is completing his fourth year of his apprenticeship and is building the skills necessary for his career.

He has recently transitioned to studying at the Archer Street campus, after previously being based at William Orr.

He finds the new facilities at Archer Street impressive.

“They are very flash,” he said.

In addition to GOTAFE’s facilities, Theodore said his teachers have been supportive of his learning journey.

“They are really helpful if you ever need anything,” he said.

This supportive teaching environment has been invaluable in helping Theodore progress through his studies and build confidence in his plumbing skills.

As he moves forward in his career, Theodore is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
