Student Spotlight – Jakk Devlin
Cyber Security student Jakk Devlin is turning his curiosity and passion for technology into a career.
After completing a Certificate III in Information Technology (ICT30120) in 2023, Jakk decided to pursue further study and is currently completing a Certificate IV in Cyber Security (22603VIC).
“GOTAFE offer multiple courses that aren’t super long,” he said.
“Having the courses run for a year worked out really well for me… I had just finished school and was looking to move.
“Committing to a year of classes has worked out much better than committing to a three-year university course.”
Jakk has always had a passion for technology and computers and is using skills learned at GOTAFE as a Specialist Technician at Echuca College.
“I love figuring out how computers work and what we can do to optimise them,” he said.
"I believe the IT and cyber security industry is one of the fastest growing industries of our time."
