GOTAFE will host a range of family-friendly activities as well as community information stalls, live music, delicious food, and coffee.

Visitors will have the opportunity to take tours through the new campus and view the new state-of-the-art nursing training rooms, the new early childhood education and care space, and view the new innovative equipment and technologies that assist with learning.

Travis Heeney CEO GOTAFE said “We’re excited to invite the Seymour community to come along and enjoy a great morning of family fun at our new campus.

“GOTAFE is committed to vocational education in the Seymour region and improving our collaboration with the local community and industry.

"The Seymour Campus has recently undergone a significant transformation, which will enable students to access modern, innovative spaces when studying and we’re excited for the wider community to see the improved facilities."

Travis Heeney, GOTAFE CEO

The $5.9 billion modern training facility was officially opened in March this year by the Hon Jaclyn Symes MP.

The new Seymour Campus provides students with fit-for-purpose teaching facilities to enhance vocational education and training pathways in priority study areas.

“These modern facilities will help train the next generation of students in vital health and community services and deliver job-ready graduates,” Mr Heeney said.

GOTAFE will offer Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015), Certificate IV in Disability (CHC43115), and Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115) in addition to Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50113) from the new purpose-built training facility. These courses are offered as part of the Victorian Government’s Free TAFE program, which will help to re-build the Victorian workforce in priority industries.
