GOTAFE on show at Careers Day Out
There is something for everyone at GOTAFE – and our staff and trainers were able to highlight that last week.
Thousands of the region’s high school students piled into the Shepparton Showgrounds on Thursday, 7 May for Careers Day Out – and were greeted by the smiling faces of GOTAFE staff and trainers.
As the event’s largest exhibitor, GOTAFE – part of Northern Victoria Institute of TAFE (NVITAFE) alongside Wodonga TAFE – was again out in force, showcasing the impact and excitement of vocational education.
GOTAFE has a range of options for young people making the transition from school to a career, including VDSS courses delivered while students study at school, VCE-VM and VPC Pathways courses, pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships, traineeships and a diverse array of TAFE options, from early childhood to carpentry.
With more courses in more places in 2026, GOTAFE offers something for everyone – highlighting to the potential future students in attendance the benefits of learning real skills for real jobs, with being able to do so locally across northern Victoria a key cornerstone of the message.
From building and construction and electrotechnology demonstrations to course and career advice from the Skills and Jobs Centre – and everything in between – the full variety of education areas at GOTAFE were on show.
