GOTAFE hair salon wins second Phorest Award
GOTAFE Shepparton’s Hair and Beauty salon has been awarded the Phorest Client Experience Award for a second year in a row.
The industry award is judged by clients of participating salons who rate their experiences online.
Danielle Pigatto, Trainer and Assessor Hairdressing at GOTAFE Shepparton, says winning the award for a second year is a boost to both staff and student morale.
“We are beyond proud of what this award represents,” Ms Pigatto said.
“Customer experience is at the heart of what we embed across all of our hair and beauty offerings here at GOTAFE.
“The award reflects the dedication of both our trainers and students, who put so much care into providing the best possible experience for customers.”
In order to qualify, participating salons were required to maintain an average rating of between 4 and 5-stars, from at least 60 online reviews for 12 consecutive months.
“It is important to me that each person I work on feels special and looked after,” she said.
“At the end of the day, the clients are the reason I do what I do, so making sure they have a great experience is extremely important.”
Maggie has had a passion for “all things hair and beauty” since Year 10 and is enjoying building on this in a TAFE setting.
“GOTAFE provides a hair salon that lets you learn not only through theory, but with hands-on practice,” she said.
“I am a hands-on learner, so when my trainers encourage us to get the scissors out or start trying new techniques for colours, I'm all for it.”
GOTAFE’s fully equipped barbershop and hair and spa salons offer a range of hair and beauty treatments to community members.
Located at Shepparton's Fryers Street Campus and Wangaratta's Docker Street Campus, these salon environments help hairdressing, barbering, and beauty students put their skills into practice.
