Class of 2025 celebrated at GOTAFE
Students celebrated completing a course at GOTAFE in 2025 across a pair of events this week.
This week in Shepparton and Wangaratta, we celebrated the GOTAFE Class of 2025.
Completion Celebration ceremonies were held at GOTAFE’s Archer Street, Shepparton and Tone Road, Wangaratta campuses – helping mark the outstanding achievements of the more than 1600 students who gained a qualification with us last year.
The students themselves – along with some of their friends and family, teachers and staff – had the chance to let their hair down in a relaxed and uplifting celebration, while also posing for that all-important gown-photo to keep as a memento of their hard work.
“It was a really good celebration (and it was great) catching up with all of the people I haven’t seen in a little bit,” Certificate IV in Cyber Security (22603VIC) student Justin said.
“It’s been really nice just being able to catch up with some friends that I studied with and meet some of the trainers and just enjoy some of the company and the food,” Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50125) student Alanna said.
“(Also) the recognition of the importance of this time not just for myself but for everyone here celebrating such an important them for them in their journey.”
Live music kept the vibe up-beat for those celebrating, while education areas were able to showcase some of the great work completed by their respective cohorts.
“Education changes lives, and it is wonderful to see the proof right before our eyes as we celebrated our Class of 2025,” Northern Victoria Institute of TAFE, including GOTAFE, Executive Director – Services Education and Student Experience, Luke Surace said.
“Many of our students have overcome adversity, taken an opportunity to change career paths or worked extremely hard to complete their courses with us, and we are extremely excited to be able to celebrate their accomplishments.
“Completing a qualification is only the beginning of the journey for these students – I was a TAFE student myself and have worked my way up to a senior leadership position. There is no limit to what you can do with a TAFE qualification.”
