This course is aimed at giving experienced welders 40 hours of practice as part of their preparation to sit a Weld Australia examination. GOTAFE will issue a letter to the student stating this once they have completed the 40 hours of practice.
Participants will be required to supply and wear appropriate PPE including non-flammable long pants, long sleeve shirt, safety footwear, welding helmet, welding gloves, safety glasses and oxyacetylene googles.
Participants will be given the option to sit the Weld Australia theory exam towards the end of the 10-week program.
Consumable materials including workbooks, steel coupons and specialised welding electrodes will be provided as part of your enrolment fee.
