This is a hands-on introductory course aimed at giving students basic welding skills in a range of welding processes. Ideal for the DIYer or people wanting to get a start towards attaining employment in the industry.
Participants will be required to supply and wear appropriate PPE including non-flammable long pants, long sleeve shirt, safety footwear, welding gloves, safety glasses, and oxyacetylene googles.
Each student will be given an auto-darkening welding helmet as part of their enrolment fees.
Class location is at our Docker St Campus in Wangaratta, Building B. For details on what to bring and the location of the class please download Personal Protective Equipment and course location.
This is non-accredited training. When students complete this course, they will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Studying during COVID-19 Restrictions
During COVID‐19 lockdown periods, this course will have the majority of the training delivered using online methods of teaching and communication while students engage from home with their trainers. Any required practical components of the course will be moved to a more appropriate time later in the year.

Additionally some courses require students to purchase or supply text
