Energy Safe Victoria has introduced Victoria’s first program of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for the electrical trades. CPD is a major State Government initiative supported by unions and employers. It covers safe working topics and aims to help all electrical workers in the community.

It is now a mandatory requirement for Licensed Electrical Workers (LEW) to attend and complete this 8-hour training session within the two years before licence renewal is due to renew their Electrical Licence successfully. GOTAFE will deliver this training utilising resources and coursework designed and supplied by ESV.

Course dates and locations will vary based on licence class. Participants will be able to select from available options during the application process.

This is a Victorian Government-funded program meaning no licence holder will need to pay for the CPD training if completed within the first five years of the program.
