Course Overview

This course is the required First Aid qualification for anyone working with children. It's recommended that you take this course as a refresher every three years in order to keep your First Aid knowledge up-to-date.

This course is delivered by qualified Industry Trainers & Assessors.

Please note:

  • Students are required to kneel and lie on the floor as part of the assessment process.
  • Participants are required to complete two minutes continuous CPR on the floor on an adult and child manikin, and 2 minutes on an infant manikin on a firm surface.
  • The emphasis of this training is directed around children, along with Anaphylaxis and Asthma.
  • Clothing worn should suit the physical requirements of this training.

Career Pathways

This course will prepare you with the skills and knowledge to pursue a career working with children as this is a core unit in the Early Childhood Education and Care course and or teaching.
