Course Overview

Begin preparing for a networking career with this introductory course on how networks operate. As the first in a three-course CCNA series, this short course introduces architectures, models, protocols, and networking elements - functions needed to support the operations and priorities of Fortune 500 companies to small innovative retailers.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes.
  • Configure routers, switches, and end devices to provide access to local and remote network resources and to enable end-to-end connectivity between remote devices.
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using real equipment and Cisco Packet Tracer.
  • Configure and troubleshoot connectivity of a small network using security best practices.

The Cisco Networking Academy® CCNAv7.02 curriculum is designed for participants who are seeking entry-level jobs in the ICT industry or hope to fulfill prerequisites to pursue more specialised ICT skills.

This is CISCO industry-accredited training. Upon successful completion, participants will gain a Certificate of Completion and a digital badge from CISCO that they can share on their LinkedIn profile.*
