Course Overview

Develop your skills and knowledge in bookkeeping. This short course will give you the foundational knowledge to perform basic bookkeeping operations for a small business.

You'll develop an understanding of business documentation and GST, debtors and creditors records, the Chart of Accounts, the function of computerised accounting software, and how personal information is used in accounting.

You'll also learn skills in recording receipts and payments using a business cash book, bank reconciliation, petty cash, and producing a trial balance.

This course will give you a solid foundation to move on to using computerised accounting software such as MYOB and Quicken.
