What is TSEP?

The TAFE Specialist Employment Partnership (TSEP) is a model that bases a specialist consultant on the TAFE campus and aims to meet the specific needs of graduating or graduated students with a disability seeking employment. The service will be available to all students identified as having a disability and/or who access support from the TAFE due to the impact of their disability who are graduating in the current calendar year or are up to one-year post-graduation.

Purpose

To improve graduate employment outcomes for students with disability by establishing an on-campus specialist employment service that links a specialist employment service consultant with GOTAFE Skills and Jobs Careers Advisors, Equitable Learning staff, and other relevant programs (e.g., Reconnect) as applicable.

GOTAFE is working with CVGT and Sureway Employment Services to prepare students with disability to be job-ready through the TAFE Specialist Employment Partnerships program.

TSEP aims to identify and address the systemic barriers to employment faced by students who identify with disability and are studying in Wangaratta, Shepparton, Benalla, Seymour, and Wallan.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Students in their final year of study at TAFE
  • Students within 12 months of completing their studies
  • Alumni - until up to 6 months post-completion of their studies
