GOTAFE wins National Marketing Awards
Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE’s Marketing and Multimedia team was recognised as the best in Australia at the recent Australian TAFE Marketing Association (ATMA) awards presentation held in Adelaide on Thursday 15th November 2007.
The award for "ATMA Marketer/Business Developer of the Year" was one of three awards the team won at the presentation evening and recognises excellence in the TAFE Marketing sector.
The other winning entries were for the 2006 Annual Report in the Publications section, and for the National Centre for Dairy Education Australia’s Marketing Campaign in the Marketing Campaigns and Public Relations section.
GOTAFE was also a finalist in the Business Development category for its work with the Logistics industry, and in Campaigns and Public Relations for an awareness raising campaign for the National Centre for Equine Education.
The submissions for the awards were judged by external marketing and business development specialists. The GOTAFE team competed against major TAFE institutes across Australia and is thrilled with its success at the awards this year.
GOTAFE CEO, Peter Ryan, says the success of the team, comprising three marketing staff and four multimedia staff, is down to teamwork and recognition of skills sets within the team.
“This recognition by our peers and industry at a national level is great encouragement for our Marketing and Multimedia teams to continue producing the high quality of work into the future,” said Mr Ryan.
The team competed against 60 entries across all categories from TAFE institutes across Australia.
