COURSES AVAILABLE

The next step in building your skills in Stud Management. This course provides comprehensive training in all aspects of caring for mares and foals including practical horse management and breeding strategies, feeding and daily care, horse health and welfare and care of stud stock. Both business and farm management are also covered, providing Stud Managers with the skills and knowledge they require to manage horses breeding activities.

Once qualified, you will have the skills and knowledge to manage livestock production, manage physical and natural resources, business administration, staff management and training and marketing of livestock.

Are you ready to join the exclusive field of Equine Dentistry? The Certificate IV in Equine Dentistry is ran in conjunction with the Australian Equine Dentistry Association. Graduates of the course deliver humane and professional dental maintenance to all breeds of horses. The success has been demonstrated by the fact that some graduates operate their business on a global basis.

90% of this course is delivered in the field and supported by lectures, field trips and extensive supervised industry experience, which prepare the trainee dental technician with skills to commence their own equine dental business.

This online course provides comprehensive training in all aspects of caring for mares and foals throughout the full reproductive cycle from conception to preparing for sales.

Students complete units in a sequence which has been aligned to the breeding cycle of horses and consequently the activities of the horse breeding industry with placement in the breeding industry during foaling down and sales preparation.

This course can be completed as a Trainee or School Based Apprenticeship.
