GOTAFE is implementing the various recommendations of the Disability Action Plan over the immediate and medium term linked to the Institute’s key Strategic Goals.
Access and Equity Committee
The first major initiative is to form an Access and Equity Committee to advise Institute Council and Executive Management on the implementation, review and success of the Disability Action Plan.
The Access and Equity Committee is a sub-committee of Executive Management comprising the Deputy Director, representatives from Student Services, Organisational Development, Facilities, Student Administration and Multimedia Development, the Disability Liaison Officer, two Teacher Representatives and a Student Representative.
The Access and Equity Committee would initially meet bi-monthly and have the right to second or co-opt additional members on a needs basis or as issues arise where additional expertise is required.
