Goulburn Ovens Skills Store Launched

The Hon. Kaye Darveniza, Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Development officially launched the Goulburn Ovens Skills Store on Tuesday 28th August 2008 at the Innoven Food Industry Centre in Shepparton.

The Victorian Skills Stores are a four year, $23.46 million initiative to encourage Victorians to undertake further education and training, recognise skills and help employers meet emerging skill needs.

The initiative also awards 5,000 Skills Stores' clients with grants of $250 to assist with the cost of formal recognition of skills at a TAFE or other registered training organisation.

The Goulburn Ovens Skills Store is a partnership between GOTAFE and the Hume Region ACFE Providers and is now operating across the Goulburn North East Region.
