Students awarded in photo competition
First year photography students from GOTAFE have won prizes in the Colour and Black and White sections of the ILFORD Tertiary Student's Photographic Competition.
Maureen Titcumb won first prize in the Colour section with her photo 'Mirror, Mirror' and third prize in the Colour section with 'Myrtleford Man'.
Christine Sullivan won third prize in the Black and White section with her photo 'Charlie 1'.
GOTAFE Photography teacher, Warren Tait, was very pleased that two of his students had featured so well in their first ILFORD National Photo Competition.
Warren said, "Both Maureen and Christine are very committed and passionate about their photography, it is so good to see them get this kind of recognition at a national level."
The ILFORD Tertiary Student's Photographic Competition attracts hundreds of entries from all around Australia. It is held at the end of each semester and is open to any tertiary student studying photography or imaging as either an elective or core subject.
