Garden Club scholarship for Horticulture student

Mooroopna Garden Club have generously donated at scholarship for $500 to a horticulture student from Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE to assist with further studies in the field.

Gerlinda Sharman, a Certificate III in Horticulture student in 2008 was presented with the scholarship by the Mooroopna Garden Club for her high academic achievements and her support of her peers in the course.

Horticulture teacher, Michael Hatton, said "Gerlinda completed all her study to the highest standard, supported her fellow students throughout the year and was a pleasure to teach."

"Gerlinda participated in many aspects of Horticulture study throughout last year, including plant propagation, garden design and construction, plant identification, turf establishment and many other horticultural subjects."
