Mixed Bag Art Exhibition Wangaratta

An exhibition of art works by first year Visual Arts and Jewellery Design students will be held at the Bainz Gallery, Wangaratta Public Library from 11th to 28th November.

On Friday 21st November there will be a lunchtime celebration from 12noon to 1pm with guest speaker Sally Huguenin and all are welcome to attend.

This year's exhibition of visual art works will be an eclectic and stimulating combination of paintings, drawings, photographs, prints, jewellery and sculptural works showcasing the skills and creative energy of these highly talented students.

Students at GOTAFE come from a wide range of backgrounds and bring to the course their diverse life experiences and knowledge which is reflected in their work. Many of the artists have been practicing their craft for years or are furthering their studies from secondary education, while some are extending and developing their arts practice in new and different ways.

This is an exceptional opportunity to not only gain insight into the work of emerging local artists but to also purchase their original works at very reasonable prices.

This is an annual event to celebrate and acknowledge student's work and committment to their artistic pursuits. The diverse range of work ensures there is something that will appeal to everyone. All members of the public are invited to come along and enjoy what they have to offer.

The exhibition is open to the public during regular library opening hours. For more information on the exhibition contact the Customer Service Centre on 1300 GOTAFE (468 233).
