Exit 08 Art Exhibition Wangaratta
Visual and graphics arts graduating students are showcasing their talent at an exhibition of their work being held in Wangaratta from 13 - 30 November.
The visual arts work on display includes painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture all with individual themes. The themes range from an obsession with the ever-growing cast of characters seen in the good old Aussie rural mail boxes, to the imaginal and sometimes quirky world of fairy tales, to the simple deliciousness of food, and to the more cerebral and philosophical considerations of human motives and morality.
The graphic arts students are displaying a collection of corporate identity designs and packaging designs, depicting a variety of styles. They have used up to date computing technology resulting in some exciting and unique pieces of creative digital imaging. Publications and illustration pieces show imaginative approaches that express and conjure desired images, brands or looks.
The exhibition will be opened at 5.30 pm on Thursday 13th November by artist Chris Thorne. Works are available for sale and everyone is welcome to attend.
The gallery is open from 1-4pm Sat-Sun; 12-5pm Mon-Tues; and 10am-5pm Wed-Fri. For more information on the exhibition contact the gallery on 03 5722 0865. For information on courses contact the Customer Service Centre on 1300 GOTAFE (468 233).
