Grant for campus upgrades
GOTAFE received $535,000 in funding from the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development as part of a minor works and maintenance grant announced by Member for Northern Victoria Kaye Darvenzia recently.
The Shepparton Campus will invest $170,000 towards an upgrade of welding and grinding bays for additional student places and installation of new Fire Hydrant services throughout the Campus.
Construction of a new Black Box Theatre classroom to value of $80,000 for the Performing Arts courses will adjoin to the rear of BPACC, plus an extra $25,000 for an upgrade of Benalla's chiller and installation of louvres.
The Wangaratta Campus will receive $80,000 to install double glazing in all rooms of Building D.
There will also be $130,000 for all campuses for fall prevention points and $50,000 to install high risk Residual Current Detection (RCD) power supplies.
