Open Day at Dookie - Sunday 31 August

Are you looking at study options for 2009? Do you have a young person in your family trying to decide on a career? Are you a farmer, employer or employee wanting farm skills or farm management training?

Well trained and educated people are in high demand in agriculture and agribusiness. Come along to the Dookie College Open Day and check out what is available to you through GOTAFE and the NCDEA.

GOTAFE will provide information on Agriculture, Production Horticulture and Viticulture courses, including full time residential Advanced Diplomas in Agriculture. Information on traineeships and short courses for 2009 will also be available. Practical training opportunities are available at the Farm Skills Centre.

The National Centre for Dairy Education Australia will provide information on career opportunities in the dairy industry including traineeships, short courses and full time residential Advanced Diplomas in Agriculture. The 2009 Dairy Farming Annual Course Guide will be available.

A range of displays and activities by students, staff, clubs, sporting and community groups will be available as well as wine and cheese tasting at the Dookie Winery. Accommodation and recreational facilities will also be on display. The University of Melbourne will provide farm and campus tours.
