This course will meet the individual needs of students who wish to strengthen levels of literacy and numeracy and wish to develop their skills for work and further education. This course may include units from a Certificate II or Vocational Qualification.

VCAL Intermediate provides skills development for:

- People who wish to strengthen literacy and numeracy skills

- People who enjoy practical hands on training

- People committed to learning in an adult environment

- People who wish to continue on to further education or courses Applicants for VCAL Intermediate should be at least 16 years of age wishing to develop skills to continue learning. VCAL provides a strong pathway to further education.

Skills Recognition
Skills Recognition is the process of gaining formal recognition for skills and knowledge that have been obtained through work history, previous study and life experience. Skills Recognition is an assessment-only process - there is no formal training involved, although you may choose to complete further training as a result of the assessment process. Skills Recognition is made up of one or more of the following processes including credit transfer and recognition of prior learning.

Fees
The standard hourly fee for this course in a Government subsidised place is $1.62.
A funded student can expect to pay no more than $1,620.00 in tuition fees to complete this course.
