The SIT60216 Advanced Diploma of Event Managment is the recognised qualification to become a qualified Conference manager, Event director, Event producer, Event or exhibition manager, Functions manager, In-house meetings manager, Meetings manager, Project manager, Venue manager.

Want the skills to stage an event like a pro? The Advanced Diploma of Events will get you there. You’ll work on the planning, promotion and staging of an event from start to finish. Work across a range of sectors including hospitality, tourism, travel, community and sport.

We teach you important management and financial skills to make sure you can manage a business or whole operation. Immerse yourself in the best event on the Calendar – the Dookie Wine Show. Work at the show to learn important skills in customer service, staging successful events and problem solving.

This qualififcation is delivered on campus. Students are required to have have current Event industry experience at a supervisor or management level.

You will be enrolled into a current qualification.

The SIT60216 Advanced Diploma of Event Managment is designed for those wishing to further their knowledge and skills to seek employment in the Events industry.

Working in this industry may involve long hours, shift and weekend work. The diversity of employers includes event or exhibition management companies, event venues, or organisations that organise their own events. Work could be undertaken in an office environment where the planning of events takes place, on-site at venues where events are staged, or a combination of both.

Skills Recognition

Skills Recognition is an assessment only process that may result in credits towards a part or full qualification.  There is no formal training involved, although you may choose to complete further training as a result of the assessment process.

You can apply for Skills Recognition before you enrol in the qualification you are seeking.  You can apply for Skills Recognition through one or both of the following processes:

  • Credit Transfer for formal training that might be equivalent to a new qualification or partial qualification
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for people who have relevant and current skills and knowledge that they have gained through non-formal or informal learning i.e. work or life experience.
